System Disassemble
What is Disassembling of computer and why it is useful
When referring to hardware, disassemble is the process of breaking down a device into separate parts.
For example, if a computer has a bad processor, you need to open the computer case, disassemble
the heat sink and processor, and manually replace it.

Computer Hardware:Computer hardware includes the physical, tangible parts or components of a computer, such as the
cabinet, central processing unit, monitor, keyboard, computer data storage, graphics card, sound card,
speakers and motherboard.

Computer Case:The computer case encloses and holds most of the components of the system. It provides mechanical
support and protection for internal elements such as the motherboard, disk drives, and power supplies,
and controls and directs the flow of cooling air over the internal components.

Power supply:A power supply unit converts alternating current electric power to low-voltage direct current power for
the internal components of the computer.

Motherboard:The motherboard is the main component of the computer. It is a board with integrated circuitry that
connects the other parts of the computer including the CPU, the RAM, the disk drivers(CD,DVD,hard
disk, or any others) as well as any peripherals connected via the ports or the expansion slots.

Components directly attached to or part of the motherboard include:
CPU:The central processing unit which performs most of the calculations which enable a computer to
function, and is referred to as the brain of the computer which get a hold of program instruction from
RAM, interprets and processes it and then send it back to the computer result so that the relevant
components can carry out the instructions. It is usually cooled by heat sink and fan.

North Bridge:The north-bridge is the chip or chips that connect a CPU to memory. The North-bridge chips
communicate with the CPU through the front side bus.

South Bridge:It provides the Physical interface between Input and Output devices, hard drive controller, Integrated hardware
and the motherboard. Integrated hardware can include sound card, video card.

RAM(Random Access Memory):This will store the code and data that are being actively accessed by the CPU. For example, when a
web browser is opened on the computer it takes up memory, this is stored in the RAM until the web
browser is closed. RAM usually comes in the sizes 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB, but can be much larger.

Hard Disk Drive:A hard drive can be used to store any data, including pictures, music, videos, text documents, and any
files created or downloaded. Also , hard drives store files for the operating system and software
programs that run on the computer.

CPU Fan:The Computer fans are used to draw cooler air into the case from the outside, expel warm air from the
inside, and air across a heatsink to cool a particular components.

As other Processors like Graphic cards, Ram and other components in computers have increased in
speed and power consumption these makes to produce the heat
Power connectors:Power connectors are mainly used to provide the supply for the motherboard as well as cpu fans. In
motherboard there are two power connectors are there.

- 4 pin power connector: This is used for giving power supply to the CPU fan.
- 24 pin power connector: This is used for giving power supply to the motherboard.
Connectors for peripherals:
There are two connections one is for mouse and another one is for keyboard.
Ports: There are three ports we can see on cabinet.
1.Parallel Port(Pink color): It is used to connect the printers.
2.VGA Port(Blue color): It is used to connect the monitor.
3.Serial or Comm Port: It is used to connect modems, scanner,or digital cameras.
Ethernet: This port is used for connecting internet.
USB: The remaining two ports are for the USBs to connect number of devices using USB.
Line in(Blue): This is found on computer sound cards that enables a user to connect an external audio device.
Line out(Green): This allows external speakers, headphones, or other output devices to be connected to the computer.
Microphone(Red): It is used to connect microphone and record sounds.
